Madrid es Negro is a festival that was born as a response to the growth of African American music in the capital. It is created in 2011 to celebrate the 15 years of the magazine in black music link Funk and Maderfaker Club, everything a benchmark in the music scene of funk and jazz in Madrid.

In this ninth edition we will see artists, as Dee Burrows or The Midnight Cannoball Blues Orchestra, and other emerging that will make you enjoy the best music of the moment.
Black music takes Madrid and there will be concerts, activities and workshops in different scenarios of the city: el Club Maderfaker de Malasaña, la sala El Sol, Cool o Siroco.
It shall start on January 31 in Forum Fnac Callao with 10 years without Michael Jackson, a tribute to this great artist of Gospel Factory hand.
Also it will pay tribute to Billie Holiday, on the 60th anniversary of his death, in charge of the extraordinary singer Susana Ruiz.

For children under the age of 14, there will be a dance workshop to teach the known basic steps of Michael Jackson and movements of funk (2 March at Delia Records).
March 4 will be given the awards link Funk in the Sala Clamores with special performance of link Funk Experiment and the presentation of the album Michael Jackson Changed My Life.
