With the title of El Buque Fantasma, last picture of the artist Eduardo Arroyo who left us on October 14, is presents the exhibition that brings together the work done by the artist since the year 2000. We can see 38 sculptures and paintings and an audio-visual projection entitled Arroyo. Exposición individual. Solo exhibition, a deep monologue performed in 2011.
La Fábrica has edited a book on the sample (Eduardo Arroyo. El Barco fantasma) with texts by writer Julio Llamazares and Commissioner for the exhibition and collaborator of the artist Fabianne Di Rocco.
His last work, El Buque Fantasma, is inspired by the character of the cursed sailor of Richard Wagner and the multitalented author leaves us two unfinished works, one about Agatha Christie and his ten Negritos and another, which was titled La Bella and the Beast in which appears a head of Stalin.
Eduardo Arroyo is characterized by the strength of the image of his works, the use of primary colors and the use of different techniques, which achieves a strong visual.
The exhibition can visit until March 17 in the Pavilion Villanueva of the Real Jardín Botánico. This exhibition closes the trilogy that began in 2017 by the Foundation Maeght, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France and by the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao in 2018.
